Helpline Ministry

sunday school

This ministry has been set up to enable Shiloh Worship Centre to maintain contact with its members and visitors. It is also a good tool to reach the elderly and the infirm.

AIM

The aim of the Helpline Ministry is to enable Shiloh to keep in contact with its Members, Potential Members and Visitors. It will ensure that everyone is made to feel loved, valued, appreciated and know that they are very important to us and the Body of Christ.

THE HELPLINE TEAM

The structural make up consists of a Minister who oversees the Ministry; a Team Leader, an Assistant and a Secretary. The team presently consists of 9 team members including other support workers to offer help and advice on a 24 hour basis. The Team will operate effectively in carrying out the necessary administration to meet our objectives.

OBJECTIVES

The Objectives of the Helpline Ministry are as follows:

  • To represent the Pastor's Vision in embracing and supporting all humanity
  • To avoid absent Members becoming unnoticed or overlooked but rather allowing them to feel a sense of belonging
  • To ensure that Senior Members who are housebound are telephoned on a regular basis and services offered to them such as home visits, prayer, communion and any other areas of support as necessary
  • To contact our visitors and offer encouragement and prayer based on requests
  • Support those who desire to become members of Shiloh by referring them to our Induction Programme (Follow up)
  • To ensure that all visitors and members remain within Shiloh's local assembly to expand the Kingdom of God

MEMBERSHIP CONTACT

The Helpline Ministry will 'bridge the gap' for members who for various reasons have been absent from Church for more than 3 weeks. The Helpline Ministry will give support and encouragement to members to ensure that they do not feel neglected especially in difficult times. Members will be contacted through telephone calls, letters and visits from the Ministry Team. Support will be given as long as necessary and members will be kept up-to-date with forthcoming events within the Church.

As the Church is ever increasing in number, the Helpline Team will enable us to keep track of every person who walks through our doors.
